The best recipe for happiness? Getting from one place to the other.

Look out world! We have a scooter on our hands. Who knew how fast babies could be. I remember the first time she did it. I put her down, left the room to get a drink of water, and when I came back a moment later she was gone. I had a heart attack but found her on the other side of the living room on her way to the bathroom I'm sure. No idea why she loves the bathroom so much. She's getting pretty fast, especially when she wants something and moms not looking:
She'll follow me everywhere and grab my ankles to hold her :) Whatever mom is doing she wants to be doing it, too. She's SOOOO much fun!!

The best recipe for happiness? Family adventure to Green Lake.

Every Saturday our little family does a big family adventure. The main goal is to get us outside for a couple of hours :) Saturday we went to this awesome park in Seattle called Green Lake. We've been wanting to go out on the water for a long time but most places won't let children under one on a boat or they don't have a life jacket small enough. Although renting a water toy can be a little expensive, they have plenty to choose from. They even have these cool paddleboat type things that look like wave runners. Our boat of choice was a small yet cozy two person paddleboat. Just the right size for our little family. Below are some pictures from the day via my smart phone... just before it died :(

^Tessa was mesmerized by the water.^

^Too bright!^

The best recipe for happiness. Anniversaries!

Today is our three year anniversary. My wedding day opened the doors to the happiest days of my life! I'm so excited to see what year number four has to offer!

Our wedding day:
^Not sure why I love this picture so much.^
^My new family!^
^I've never seen Pitch Perfect but this kind of looks like the picture on the cover.^
^I love my cake.^
You don't realize how long its been until you see pictures of your nieces and nephews:
Back to the wedding:

^My grandma is a spitfire. Remind me to tell you about the time she wrestled a rooster under a bush. She was 80.^
^Hmmm...they seem to be missing an important member of the family :) ^
And my personal favorite:
^I get to kiss him like that every day!!!^

The best recipe for happiness? Father's Day.

I saw this video and just cried. Ron, Seth, Kash, Doug, but most especially Dad and Brady... when I watch this video I immediately think of you and the amazing fathers that you are.
I love you! Happy Father's Day!

The best recipe for happiness? Movies.

Little sweet Tessa has been pretty sick since Sunday. Poor baby. Last night she broke out in a rash and hasn't been feeling quite herself. I walked in the living room to find these two cuddling on the couch watching Tangled. "I know I like watching movies when I feel sick. I thought she might, too." Brady is so sweet and takes such good care of his two girls. Hope your Thursday is a little better than Tessas. Except Tangled is pretty great.

The best recipe for happiness? Discovery Park.

Be sure to make the video "full screen." Much better than the little "fun size" box that blogger posts.  :)

The best recipe for happiness? Kidnapping your husband and running away to the park.

Yesterday Tessa and I convinced Brady that a trip to the park in the middle of the day was much more important than work. He didn't put up much of a fight since it was b-e-a-utiful outside. We packed up a luch and met him there. Tessa and Brady had a hoot of a time playing in the water and mom had a hoot of a time chasing the crows out of our picnic bag (they put a hole in my bag of nuts, the brave little things). Sometimes mom and dad do things that they think is awesome... Tessa not so much. Like when dad put her upside down and mom said, "hey, nice catch! Smile while I take a picture." Well Tessa didn't think pretending she was a fish was as fun as us but as you can see by the picture below she's pretty patient with her mom and pop. Fish or not, right side up or upside down I still think she's a pretty nice catch. How's that for a cheesy last liner... I've heard I'm pretty good at those.

The best recipe for happiness? Diapers that fit.

During baby girl's breakfast I noticed a little outfit malfunction. No wonder we have so many blow outs! I guess we need to go up a size? She has such a cute little bum.
